A better boot fit
Why the right fit matters more than a flex number.
Measure both feet
Ski boots use Mondopoint sizing based on foot length in centimeters. Measure both feet and have a boot fitter check shell length, width, volume and stance. Street-shoe conversion charts are a rough starting point.
What to feel
A properly fitted boot should hold the heel securely without sharp pain or numbness. Toes may touch lightly when upright and ease back as you flex. Do not buy an oversized boot to solve a pressure point.
Our resort boot
Ridge 100 costs $349, has a 100 mm last at 26.5, a brand-specific flex of 100 and GripWalk soles. Bindings must explicitly support GripWalk. Try indoors before any heat molding.
